Loved the duck leg appetizer. Sushi is not good enough and not recommended. Everything well is nice. Not amazingly nice but nice.

Excellent food and outstanding service. And the price for the lunch specials were actually quite affordable for a place this classy.

One of the best meals I've had in a while. The unique palate of French cuisine with the hospitality of Japanese service.Three of us sat down for dinner and were unsure what to order. There were a couple of tasting menu options but the a la carte looked really good too. We asked the waiter and he said order any combination from the tasting and regular menu. We didn't know how that would work but we ordered two tasting menu options a couple of appetizers and entrees. He wrote it down, asked if we would be sharing everything (yes) and said okay he would arrange these and customize a dinner plan for us. Everything was excellent. We especially enjoyed the yellow collar special (limited daily orders) with its shiso sauce. The tempura vegetable accompany with a bit of salt was quite good on its own.

Came here for Wednesday lunch.I made a reservation, but it's not really busy. So walk in should be ok too. Lots of option for lunch special. All the lunch set come with rice miso soup, mixed green, and side dishes.Me and my friend both order chirashi sushi and sashimi box.The plating was pretty cool. It come with a box with 3 layers. 2 layers of different flavor rice and one layer sashimi. It come with 5 different kinds of sashimi. Everything taste super great. Love it!Side dishes and miso soup was okay. This set cost $26. I think it worth it. And want to come back to try other item on the menu next time!

Delicious food. Convenient location. Some staff need to be trained on Hygyne.

Elegant space with impeccable service. Food is on the creative side for Japanese cooking. Some sections of the menu change seasonally. We tried items from their spring menu last night and they’re absolutely delightful!

Came here for restaurant week, by far the most delicious and most reasonably priced restaurant. Most memorable dish was the sashimi, which was very fresh and nicely prepared.

Brought my wife here on valentines day. Food was amazing and the decor was very romantic. Great place to take someone for special occasions but is not cheap on the wallet.

They provide special lunch menu with good price and big portion of serving. The food was tasty, though it’s westernize Japanese food.

Ordered lunch set and couple appetizers. Cost US60 per person in average.Taste is fine. As it’s Michelin restaurant, our expectation is high,I would like to rate 4 star but not 5 star.

Great japanese spot - lucky to be visiting on its 1 year anniversary. Beautiful space with nice flatware. The food is very delicious with a flare on the traditional japanese flare. They use some upscale ingredients but do not over price the experience. The saki and soju list is just right. The only bad point was a bit of a stumble on service and expediting the end of the meal.Overall I would come here again with friends or for business!

Exquisite menu with a number of dishes I’ve never tried before in a Japanese restaurant! It was a revelation and happiness in my mouth! With the abundance of Japanese restaurants overall in the city and in this neighborhood in particular, Mifune is becoming one of my absolute favorites! Some people complained about small positions in their reviews, well, go to an American steakhouse instead, not a high-end sushi restaurantðŸ˜

Best Japanese cuisines in New York! And I loooove Toshiro Mifune (and Tatsuya Nakadai).

I eat in this spot a lot since I work close by. I love how the customer service is always awesome and they keep the spot clean at all times. Pricing is affordable and they serve sizeable portions.

A really wonderful Japanese restaurant which treads the line between being high-end and approachable. The staff are attentive and the food was served promptly. The dishes were absolutely exquisite: stand outs being the sashimi and the pork belly.

It's refreshing to find a restaurant that offers Japanese French fusion. The overall quality of the food was decent. We did the summer tasting menu and my favorite dishes were the lobster caviar salad with seasonal greens and pear sorbet with rice pudding. The service was fine, but could definitely be improved to enhance the dining experience. Despite the fact that we were sitting at the counter in front of the chefs, the sashimi was prepared ahead of time in a big batch. The waiters were not extremely knowledgeable in the dishes nor drinks. We wanted to learn more about the uni and sake, but the staff was unable to comment much on either. Additionally, the meal felt a bit rushed. The wagyu foie gras was served before we finished the snowpea custard. At one point, I had 4 glasses of wine in front of me. (We did the wine pairing as well). All in all, we enjoyed the meal. The restaurant has potential to be better for the price it charges.

Went there for the restaurant week lunch menu. The tonkatsu was sooo delicious that the skin was so crispy, the meat inside was tender, juicy and fat. It’s the best tonkatsu we’ve ever had in the US so far ( if they control and remain the quality well). The sirloin beef was delicious, too. But I still prefer the tonkatsu. High recommend it!

We tried this restaurant on a whim. We’re glad we did. It is a lovely place with decent service and solid food. The presentation on some of the food was just gorgeous while the sashimi plate of salmon was just 6 pieces of fish on a plate. The quality of the salmon was nice though. We would eat there again.

Came here during restaurant week with a group of 7 and it was an amazing experience. They have a section downstairs where they hold larger parties and it was nice and private. I highly recommend the Duck Leg Parmentier.
